Hyperic Add’s Google App Engine Health to CloudStatus Cloud Monitoring Server

In addition to being the pioneer in monitoring the health of Amazon’s various web services such as EC2, Hyperic has also added Google’s App Engine Cloud Computing platform to their CloudStatus.com dashbouard and suite of cloud monitoring utilities.

The parameters that CloudStatus now monitors for Google App Engine are the main Engine, the Datastore, memcache, and URLFetch components of Google’s App Engine cloud platform.

In addition to the standard monitoring page, Hyperic is also providing a plug-in for monitoring App Engine-based applications from within Hyperic HQ Open source monitoring software. The App engine plug-in is available here: http://support.hyperic.com/display/hypcomm/Google+App+Engine. Hyperic HQ Open Source Enterprise Monitoring is available here: http://www.hyperic.com/downloads/index.html.
