An Interview with Clem Cole, President of USENIX: A Brief History of How Unix Became “Open”
I recently posted an article on the LISA blog about a discussion I had with Clem Cole, President of USENIX. We spoke about his experience writing software in the days of USENIX’s beginnings and he offered a firsthand experience about using Unix and writing software in the mid-DEC years. Clem Cole is one of the original hackers that helped found Unix and provides some insights into why USENIX was started. Clem Cole is an ICR (Intel Cluster Ready) Architect at Intel Corporation.
