PyCon 2010: The World’s Largest Python Conference

The largest Python conference in the world is coming up on February 19th to the 21st. PyCon expects to receive approximately 1000 attendees this year from all levels of experience from Python beginner to expert. Featured keynote speakers Antonio Rodriguez (HP/Tabblo), and Mark Shuttleworth (Ubuntu) will be present, as well as Guido van Rossum (Google/Python Software Foundation), Frank Wierbicki (Jython Project), Mr. Maciej Fijalkowski (merlinux GmbH, pypy), Dino E Viehland (Microsoft), Van Lindberg (Haynes and Boone), and Steve Holden (Holden Web LLC).

The pre-conference activities start on February 17th through the 18th including half day tutorials and summit meetings. The tutorials offer hands-on training on various topics such as beginning Python (Python 101), Django, Test Driven Development, and Hacking the Social Web, as well as many more.

The main conference days take place on February 19th to the 21st and include Keynote Speeches, Invited Talks, Panels, poster sessions, and open spaces for anyone to meet and collaborate. 

Registration is available through February 10th

Python has become an increasingly popular programming language for traditional and Web development due to its simplicity, ease for rapid programming, and available libraries and networking support. PyCon US is the largest congregation of Pythonic ideas, technologies, and people converge in real time and space.
